I created this illustration of Sanyu and Kidogo (a giant pangolin mother and baby being studied in the wild in Uganda) for Chester Zoo's Giant Pangolin Project.

Pangolins are the most illegally trafficked group of mammals in the world. Between 2016 and 2019, over 200 tonnes of pangolin scales were intercepted and confiscated. It's likely that this only represents a small proportion of trafficked pangolins as most shipments go undiscovered, so pangolins really need our help!

Chester Zoo's Giant Pangolin Project began in 2018. They have surveyed for the presence of giant pangolins within four protected areas in Uganda, deploying over 700 camera traps. Their research is providing essential insight into the ecology of this elusive species and providing much needed data on the status of the species throughout Uganda to help inform conservation measures.

I will be donating 50% from each sale of this print to Chester Zoo to support their project. Please check out their website for more information about the incredible conservation work they do all around the world:

This is an A3 (42 x 29.7 cm) print on lovely thick 175 gsm lightly textured card by G.F Smith Paper. The card is FSC certified and the print is signed on the reverse. You will also receive an information sheet about the Giant Pangolin Conservation Project.

This print will be carefully packaged in a strong cardboard tube to avoid damage in the post.
